The experimental miniature filler-modified twin-screw extruder pelletizer consists of two parallel rotating screws, and the clearance and pitch between them can be adjusted as required. The working principle of this extruder is to process the filler-modified plastic material into small pellets under high temperature and high pressure conditions through continuous extrusion and pelletizing process. Firstly, the plastic raw material and the filler (e.g. fiber, powder or microspheres) are pre-mixed and enter the feed inlet of the extruder. Under the action of the screw, the plastic material is gradually heated and melted in the heating section, where the filler material is evenly dispersed. Subsequently, the mixture passes through a die in the extrusion head to form a continuous extrusion strip, which is then cut into uniform pellets by a cutting device. These pellets can be used for subsequent molding, injection molding or other processes.

 

The extruder is suitable for the research and production of various filler modified plastic materials. The fillers can be fibrous glass fibers, carbon fibers, or micro-fine powders such as silica fume and titanium dioxide. Filler-modified plastic materials usually have excellent strength, stiffness, abrasion resistance and thermal stability, and are widely used in automotive, aerospace, electronic equipment and construction.
