The experimental twin-screw granulator consists of two screws rotating side by side. The precise fit and adjustment between the screws enable the machine to effectively process plastic raw materials into granules at high temperature and high pressure. During the working process, the plastic granules enter the machine through the inlet and are gradually melted and mixed under the push of the screws. As it moves forward, the plastic stock enters the heating zone and reaches a melted state at a set temperature. During the extrusion process, the plastic material is sheared into uniform pellets by means of dies and cutting devices in the extrusion head. These pellets can be used for injection molding, extrusion, or other plastics processing.

 

The granulator is suitable for experimental and small batch production of various thermoplastics and engineering plastics. Commonly applied materials include polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyamide, and polycarbonate. These plastic materials are usually used in automotive, electronics, packaging, construction and many other industrial fields, so the equipment is of great significance in researching new materials, optimizing production processes and developing new products.

 

The Experimental Twin Screw Pelletizer offers precise operational control, allowing the operator to adjust the screw speed, feed rate, heating zone temperature and cooling system as needed to achieve precise control of the pelletizing process. This capability allows researchers to tailor the machine to specific experimental requirements to achieve the desired pelletizing results and particle characteristics.
